grain of salt mag is an online publication that creates a space for young creatives of marginalized gender identities to reclaim and explore their creativity without the constraints of patriarchal standards. since our humble beginnings at the height of the pandemic quarantine in may 2020, we have recruited a 50+ person team from all over the globe, curated multiple print publications, developed a semester-long residency program and built a community of over 8,000 people across our social media platforms.

it’s been one hell of a ride.

as our journey as a publication comes to an end, we are looking for our community’s help to fundraise for website maintenance. we want to make sure all of the incredible work we have published over the years is preserved. however, website domains and website archival processes cost a lot of money. since we are volunteer, unpaid, and soon to have no regular form of income, any gift to this fund is greatly appreciated.

with your generous donation, we will be able to keep our website up and running in order to celebrate our accomplishments and maintain an archive of every single piece of work that has been published through grain of salt mag. even when we are no longer posting, this will continue to support and empower the voices of marginalized creatives.
