alyssa is an advocacy and international relations specialist, with a focus on cross-cutting issues and communications. she is passionate about urban issues, such as people-centered housing, and issues affecting women and children and the environment. she has been a copy editor at grain of salt for three years and has loved watching the publication morph and grow. outside of work, alyssa delights in exploring ice cream spots and building out her budding library, thanks in large part to the plethora of unique local bookstores in New York City, the place she has called home for the past four years. she also enjoys rock climbing, kickboxing, and long walks along the Hudson in her free time.
