ella sylvie is a 19-year-old student studying social anthropology at the university of edinburgh in scotland, although she is originally from down near london, england. here at grain of salt, she is a graphic designer, helping out with the social side as well as working on print issues (that’s her favourite part!) she originally began university studying graphic design so she has a little background in the area, although she loves to write too (spot her old personal essay on the site) and has recently been getting into film photography! she still doesn’t quite know how to use her camera in its entirety but at least she feels cool wearing it … ? her current obsessions as of feb 2022 are ncaa gymnastics, sweater vests and long walks in edinburgh’s hilly parks, so if you fancy a chat about any of these (or design, of course…)
